How many of you wish dreams could come true?  I know that I wish they did.

For one young boy, his dreams did come true. Samuel was a nine-year-old boy when I met him two years ago.  This is the story of how Samuel’s dream became reality.

Before we can dive into this story, we first need to understand who Samuel is.  Samuel is an average kid, who enjoys science, p.e. and especially recess.  What Samuel enjoyed the most was dreaming.  There were several times during the day that Samuel got into trouble from his teacher for wandering off into his dreams. Samuel

would daydream the most during math class as math was always hard for him, and preferred the dreams in his head.  On average he would get in trouble three times a week from his math teacher. Samuel could not wait to see where his dreams took him when he fell asleep at night.

Samuel dreamt about knights and dragons, wars and battles, and many other things that involved saving the day.  During a full week Samuel would dream of saving the day in four different ways. Saving the day, being a hero, or especially, saving the girl is a dream that many boys have.  A boy dreams about becoming a great hero and, in order for him to be a hero, there must be a great challenge to overcome, in this dream, it was the challenge of saving one particular girl that Samuel was fond of.  Her name was Emily.  Emily was a cute innocent girl that everyone loved. Emily was the girl who always raised her hand and went out of her way to make other people happy. Emily was often the girl that Samuel dreamed about saving.

Samuel loves dreaming of saving the day.  In a normal month with four weeks, how many times did Samuel get in trouble from his math teacher?
